Founded in Samara, Russia, in 2014, the brand Mamay Customs took its name from its creator, Vladimir Mamaev.
Vladimir's first experience in creating smoking devices was a hookah made from a fire extinguisher, for which he won an award. After conducting numerous experiments and crafting devices from various materials, Vladimir concluded that the standard form was the most successful.
Currently, Mamay hookahs are a recognizable and quite popular brand, as evidenced by their win at the JohnCalliano Awards in the "Best Hookah of 2017" category.
